Biographie
Edward Mills est titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada en santé mondiale. Ses travaux portent principalement sur des questions touchant l’évaluation des interventions de soins de santé. Dans le domaine de la santé mondiale, il seconde les organismes fournisseurs de traitement antirétroviral en Afrique en mesurant la qualité de leurs services et leur incidence sur la qualité de vie et le taux de mortalité des patients. Il dirige pour TASO-CAN une cohorte de 23 000 patients sous traitement antiretroviral en Uganda, soit la cohorte de recherche la plus nombreuse en Afrique. Il a produit une profusion d’articles et il est rédacteur en chef de Conflict and Health, périodique scientifique traitant des réponses humanitaires à des situations d’urgence complexes.
