 Joy Noel-Weiss

Biographie

Joy Noel-Weiss (IA, IBCLC) est professeure adjointe à l'École des sciences infirmières de la Faculté des sciences de la santé de l’Université d'Ottawa. Ses recherches portent sur l'allaitement et la lactation humaine, et elle est l’auteure d’une thèse de doctorat intitulée Relationship Between Intravenous Fluids Given to Women During Parturition and Their Breastfed Newborns' Weight Loss. Ses études de maîtrise ont porté sur un essai randomisé contrôlé d’un atelier prénatal visant à accroître l’auto-efficacité de l'allaitement maternel. En plus de ces études, la professeure Noel-Weiss a entrepris des recherches qualitatives sur l'allaitement maternel et l’éthique. Elle préside également l’Ethics and International Code Committee de l’International Lactation Consultants Association.
